An Evening with Las Hermanas Pelaez

The Miami Dade College (MDC) Museum of Art + Design presents An Evening with Las Hermanas Peláez, benefiting the MDC Museum of Art + Design at the Freedom Tower. This fundraising event includes an intimate book talk and cuisine pairing by food writer Ana Sofía Peláez author of The Cuban Table, followed by a ferociously comic and moving selection of scenes from the one-person play, RUM & COKE by actor, director and playwright Carmen Peláez. This is a one-night-only event on Wednesday, May 6, 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Museum located within the College's historic Freedom Tower. Event is limited to 150 guests and each guest will receive a signed copy of The Cuban Table.

Taste of Historic Downtown Miami 2015

Taste of Historic Downtown Miami is a progressive historic tour of Downtown Miami and is presented by Downtown Miami Partnership Inc, Dade Heritage Trust, and Miami Center for Architecture & Design. After-Party at the Security Building at 117 NE 1st St. Registration starts at 5:30pm at the Olympia Theater at Gusman Center - 174 E. Flagler Street.

Biscayne Green

The Biscayne Green project proposes to establish a new public green space and enhance tree coverage by converting the median parking on Biscayne Boulevard (SE 2nd Street to AmericanAirlines Arena) into a linear park open/green space area.

March is Bike305 Month!

Gear up for the annual Bike305 Month celebration. During the month of March, Miami residents are encouraged to try cycling to work, school and other destinations, as an alternative to driving on congested roadways. Cycling is a great way to exercise and see some of Miami's scenic sites via safe, protected paved bike trails throughout the city.

Mercedez-Benz Corporate Run Miami

The Mercedez-Benz Corporate Run is soon approaching on April 23, 2015. This health conscious, fun event brings together hundreds of South Florida companies for a friendly competition while helping Charity Partner, the United Way. 2015 Greater Downtown Residential Real Estate Report

Integra Realty Resources (IRR) provides a complete picture of the Downtown Miami condo market showcasing upcoming developments, sales and leasing metrics, and land pricing. The 2015 report shows that the condo market is reaching the point of equilibrium where supply is catching up with demand, as sales from Latin America begin to hit a plateau and construction costs rise.

Request for Qualifications (RFQ) No. 14-15-02

The Downtown Development Authority (Miami DDA) is soliciting qualification packages to establish a list of pre-qualified consulting firms on an as-needed basis to provide a variety of planning, engineering, architecture and design services for future plans, studies, etc. throughout Downtown Miami and the Miami DDA district. Please note, the deadline for RFQ submittal is March 16, 2015.

The Miami DDA provides grants/funding to special events and/or projects that take place in Downtown, have an economic impact on the area, and strengthen Downtown Miami’s recognition as a vibrant and exciting destination for residents and visitors.
